Let's put the Mob did it lie to bed once and for all!
One of the biggest myths is that the Mafia was behind the assassination of JFK. On July 6-7th author James DiEugenio returns to That’s Enough Outta You podcast and blasts the myth of the Mob rigging the 1960 Presidential election in JFK’s favor. As Jim and author Don McGovern point out all of these Mob did it theories contradict one another so they all can’t be true. This forces you to pick one and stick to it. The problems with that is they are all easy to disapprove and they rely on proven liars like Gianni Russo, Chuck Giancana, and Judith Extner Cambell and also gangsters who have podcasts, looking for click bait, that were not even inducted into the Mafia when much of this history happened.
If you believe the myth that the Chicago outfit rigged the election then you go against evidence that suggests the voting precedents controlled by the outfit were lower in totals for the Democrats. This is proof the Mob didn’t rig the election or if they did then they were not very good at it. Also, you would then have to believe that Sam Giancana, a front boss and glorified captain went against Bosses like Carlos Marcello (New Orleans), Santos Traficante (Florida) and the commission (New York) who were supporting Richard Nixon in 1960 election confirmed by FBI reports from informants. This is simply not the way the Mafia operated. It is a dictatorship run by the commission in New York not a diplomacy.
Another one of these Mob did it myths is that the Mob retaliated for JFK not being able to assassinate Fidel Castro. The problem here is that most of the information stating the Kennedys sanctioned the Castro attempts come from a proven CIA trained liar in Sam Halpern. Halpern like Russo and Extner contradicts himself. On the one hand he says the Kennedys were using “pinpricks” against Castro with operation mongoose that amounted to nothing but then on the other hand he says that they were trying to assassinate him. Well Sam you can’t have it both ways, Was it pinpricks or assassination attempts ? This is the problem relying on CIA trained liars, gangsters who lie for a living and actors who are trying to pull their pathetic careers out of the toilet. The journalists who buy this crap are not very good at their profession. It is really kind of embarrassing. Is fact checking even a thing in Journalism anymore? I mean Extner says she was the go between with JFK and Giancana for information that started the Castro attempts. The problem here is those attempts originated under President Eisenhower not Kennedy. Once again dates are not fact checked. This is similar to journalists taking the word of Gianni Russo saying he had affair with Marilyn Monroe when he was 6 years old. Check the dates if you want to be a journalist.
The bottom line here is that if you are looking down the mob did it road then you are going down a pit that leads nowhere. Allen Dulles taught his closest CIA operatives that Coincidences don’t exist. Well, there are a million Coincidences connecting Dulles to Oswald and to the Assassination of JFK. In his own words they are not Coincidences.
