Marilyn Monroe, The Truth about America's Goddess!
We have Author Don McGovern on April 7th on our That's Enough Outta you Podcast. Don's book Murder Orthodoxies: A Non-Conspiracist’s View of Marilyn Monroe's Death is the best most accurate account of Hollywood's most famous and most unfairly defamed Actress. What has happened to Marilyn Monroe's reputation is absolutely a disgrace. What I call "the Jackals", a pack of liars that have defamed Ms. Monroe with stories that can be easily discredited with some honest research which Don does magnificently in his fine book. This group of "jackals" have also tried to tie John and Robert Kennedy up in their easily discredited stories.
In this fantastic podcast episode, we discussed with Don how his obsession with Marylin Monroe began. Don watched all of Marilyn's movies and began to read many books on her life. He quickly realized that a lot of these books were very inaccurate and was the equivalent of character assassination of not only Marilyn but also John F. Kennedy and Robert F. Kennedy. Don presents evidence that what became legend of a long affair between Marilyn and President Kennedy is actually factually inaccurate and the alleged affair between Marilyn and Robert F. Kennedy is completely fabricated. Don talks about the only handful (3-4) confirmed meetings between Marilyn and the middle Kennedy Brothers and all the rest either cannot be confirmed or are factually incorrect.
We also discuss with Don about Marilyn's alleged relationship with the mafia and mafia figures like Sam Giancana and Johnny Roselli which is completely fabricated. We also discuss the Cal-Neva Mythology and who was actually there and who was not. Don talks about a confidential witness were actually there that infamous weekend. We also talk about Joe DiMaggio and Frank Sinatra.
This was a tremendous interview and what is so great about Don is that he went through actual stories and fact checked dates which most of these authors (I use that term loosely) in question did not. These jackals have ruined the reputation of Marilyn Monroe, John and Robert Kennedy in order to profit from their sensationalized made-up stories and character assassinate three of America's most beloved historic figures. Bill and I strive to get to the truth in our podcasts and this one was really personal to us. As Fox Mulder said, "The truth is out there". One just has to get through a forest of lies from jackals to get to it.
