Sean’s Top 25 College Football Rankings
As we await the upcoming playoffs, I decided to do my own top 25 College football rankings. It differs some from the Committee rankings. My rankings are based on my “Eyeball Test” from watching a ton of college football. I left my own Bias out of it and I didn’t show an SEC and Big 10 Bias like the committee has. So here it is :
1) Oregon— The only undefeated team. They had some scares but won every game. They are very fast and athletic but don’t like to get into physical battles like the one they had with Wisconsin. Right now they deserve to be number one.
2) Texas— A very athletic team with some of the nations top recruits. They have one of the best defenses in the country. Georgia is their own blemish but they have a chance to rectify that this week!
3) Notre Dame —- People will say I am bias but this team has been dominate since the embarrassing loss to northern Illinois. They have the largest margin of victory in the country, one of the best defenses in the country and a running game that is impossible to stop right now.
4) SMU— This is a very under rated team from an athletic standpoint. They are not a huge brand name so they don’t get the respect that they should. Their incredible team speed stands out when you watch them.
5) Penn State—- I know this will upset PSU fans but the eyeball test for PSU has not been great. They have some really close wins over some very average teams like Minnesota and Bowling green and the one “Great” loss they have now doesn’t look that great after Ohio State got embarrassed by a mediocre Michigan team. Their best win is an over rated Illinois team that didn’t make my top 25.
6) Georgia
7) Ohio State
8) Boise State
9) Tennessee
10) Indiana
11) Miami
12) South Carolina
13) Arizona State
14) Ole Miss
15) Alabama
16) Iowa State
17) Clemson
18) BYU
19) UNLV
20) Syracuse
21) Army
22) Colorado
23) Memphis
24) Louisville
25) Georgia Tech
