The Kennedys and the Mafia/ Do not allow unreliable sources to tell the story!
I was having a conversation the other day with Scott Alfieri about the Kennedys and the Mafia Myths, when something occurred to me. Why is the burden of proof, with these Kennedy/Mafia myths on researchers like Jim Dieugenio and Lisa Pease, to show source documents that the Kennedys had no ties to the mob? It should be the other way around. The Jackals who make these stories up should have to prove it with source documents. Where is integrity in journalism anymore? What has happened is people use unreliable sources to conclude that it is a fact, that the Kennedys had ties to the Mafia. This is dangerous and very poor investigative journalism. Another thing is do NOT use gangsters with podcast as prime sources for information. These guys are liars by trade who love to embellish themselves in every big event in history. A New York Gangster who was made in the 1970s would not have any knowledge of what Chicago or New Orleans gangsters were up to in the 1950s and 60s. The mafia does not operate like that. Alot of these books that are written on this subject, offer no footnotes and use anonymous sources. This should be a giant red flag to people. Also, gangsters had a vendetta against the Kennedys because RFK was attacking them like never before, so if they could embarrass the family by saying they double-crossed them, then let's call it what is, angry criminals looking to tarnish the reputations of their enemy. Also, be very cautious of documentaries and mob podcasts who offer these anonymous sources. It is tactic that they use to present their story, but they offer no proof. The more of these mob podcasts, that I listen to have brought me to the conclusion that there is very few if any, accurate ones left.
One of the most troubling things to me is how many really talented researchers in the JFK community fall for the Kennedy/mafia myths and use these unreliable sources. It is mindboggling how someone can be so good in certain areas and then so careless in others. Honestly, it is very troubling. If people are relying on Nixon hatchet man, Gianni Russo, the book double cross or gangsters with podcasts as sources then let's call this what it is, God awful lazy journalism. Another source that cannot be trusted is J. Edgar Hoover. He hated the Kennedys and used assets like Frank Capell to distribute disinformation on both brothers and the father. Researchers and authors need to be consistent in their style of work across the board.
I ask all our listeners to trust the sources we bring on our podcasts. We do our own research as well and do not use information given by proven liars. What has been done to the reputations of the Kennedy Family and Marilyn Monroe is an absolute disgrace. As someone who has been researching organized crime for over 30 years, i can tell you that there is not one single reliable sourced document or physical source that can tie the Kennedys to the mafia. Use common sense, the mafia would not make a deal with people who are trying to put them behind bars. Call these jackals out for what they are money hungry liars looking to profit on ruining others reputations and the talented researchers in the JFK community, trust and use your talent! The Jackals need to be on notice, that there is a Pitbull on the loose.
